These two adjoining public parks are in the heart of Eastbourne’s Old Town

Gildredge Park has wide lawns, picnic areas and a modern children’s playground. There is also a bowling club and a tennis club.

Manor Gardens was once the grounds of Gildredge Manor (the former home of the Towner Art Gallery, now a popular events venue). The Gardens have many attractive features including a sensory garden, a rose garden and a lily pond.

There are several historic features including a small mid to late 18th century hermitage. There are also free to use tennis and basketball courts. A skate park with concrete ramps, pipes and other feature was opened in 2012 and has proved popular with residents and visitors.
