Pronounced ‘Hollywell’ this area was once a fishing village and still retains the essence of its original charm, providing a peaceful contrast to the busier sections of the seafront.

There is a shingle beach and at low tide rock pools are full of marine life making it a perfect place for swimming and fishing for tiddlers and tiny crabs.

There are shower and toilet facilities, beach huts, chalets and a café. With the stunning white cliffs of Beachy Head as a backdrop, a day spent at Holywell is a classic day at the seaside.
