Meads Affinity Card
The Meads Community Association launches its Affinity Scheme.
As members are aware, a cornerstone of the MCA's Placemaking strategy is to encourage members to shop in Meads Street to help ensure its commercial viability. In support of this, the MCA has launched an Affinity Scheme between our members and participating Meads traders.
All member households who have paid their 2018 subscription have received an Affinity Card which has been branded with both the new MCA logo and the new Meads Village logo. This reinforces our aim of building the Meads Village brand and spreading the word about this special place.
The card is exclusive to MCA members and we hope that it will achieve a 'win-win' outcome. Members will see that they are valued by being able to purchase goods and services and dine out locally at discounted prices. For their part, traders will build customer loyalty and repeat business.
Here is a list of participating traders with details of the discounts they are offering:
All Saints Chapel
10% discount on event booking fees which includes venue hire and food. Does not apply to drinks.
Chapman Wine Merchants
15% discount when buying six or more bottles of wine. Does not apply to wine already discounted through other promotions or beers and spirits.
Bliss Spa and Beauty salon
10% discount on all treatments
La Locanda Del Duca, Cornfield Terrace
10% discount on the whole bill including drinks. Does not apply at special events such as their Opera Evenings or their New Year's Eve Party.
McGregor Letting Consultants
10% discount on fees charged to landlords
Meads Village Dental Practice
5% discount on all treatments for each adult patient (over 18) Patients should inform reception that they have an Affinity Card when booking an appointment.
Pomodoro E Mozzarella, Cornfield Terrace
10% discount on the whole bill including drinks. Does not apply at special events such as their Opera Evenings or their New Year's Eve Party.

Xing Fu Chinese Restaurant
10% discount on food from the a la carte menu for both lunch and dinner. Does not apply to drinks or the fixed price lunch menu.
Premier Balti House Susan’s Road
10% discount on the whole bill including drinks when eating in.
The Helen Garden
£1 per person to use the putting green or petanque court instead of £2.75 or £1.85 respectively.
The launch of the Affinity Card is a first step in what we hope will be a long-term successful relationship between MCA members and Meads traders.
